Yuri Sakakibara is a shin-issei, queer Japanese American and a Los Angeles-based visual artist and graphic designer. In the Fall of 2019, she initiated and designed an interview series called Nijiiro Zines, where she had conversations with 5 queer Japanese individuals with various backgrounds. These conversations expanded on the intersections between identity, culture, art, and hidden queer Japanese history. The book is available in Japanese or English version.
