During the academic year 1968/1969, Milan-based graphic designer Albe Steiner along with students in Urbino worked on a comprehensive project for the town which included a new logo, signage, and a city bulletin.  The project was viewed greatly symbolic and practical as it was the first time a design approach were implemented and adopted in a local level. Grafica per la città or Graphics for the city presents the findings and analyses of issues related to living in historic centres today and the role that communication design can play.
